When you sit as wide as Eric’s GLI you can pretty much say forget everything else. Motor, no needs for any power besides the little bit you need to move the wheels. Interior, please! All you need is 4 seats, an Ipod, and air in the compressor! As the Prince said on that track SUMERTIME… “2mph, so everybody sees you!”
Eric’s Jetta is sex. That’s how I always seem to tell people about it when I try and describe it to them. When I tell them that those BBS on the back are 17×11 with a 225 on it, that’s probably when I get either continuous talk and hate about why people shouldn’t stretch tires, or something along the lines of that’s the baddest shit I have seen son!
While I give Eric and I mix it up back and forth about his Mexican heritage, on my daily trips to his restaurant, we always talk about the new mods in store for the car, along with what Eric is seeing online. We check out all of the sites, and its all about the stance in Monterrey’s! That’s the name of Eric’s family restaurant here in the upstate. They have a chain, and without a doubt they are some of the best Mexican food in the upstate. Possibly, my fav that I have ever tasted. (Leave it fair, since I have not been to every Mexican join in the us!)
This car is never finished, never ready, never right. It is always going through some kind of construction. There are always details changed. But the part about this car that we all can get down with no matter if we like it or not is the fact that its a daily driven car! Sometimes hundreds of miles per day, and sometimes just to go get supplies for work, either way, you’ll see it on the ground!
The Anodized lips are ill. I miss the polished lips with purple spokes though (Pics coming!)
Keep an eye on Greasyblocks to see more on Eric’s Jetta! (Assembling the BBS wheels, fitment information and tutorials, and video riding around whoring out the fo-DOE!)
