Check out Keonsay getting it in at the gas pump!

2 trips to the gas station so far on the new motor build and the results are as follows:

  • Trip1: $25.02 pumped 6.8 gallons of 93 =drove 180 miles w/no gas light, added more gas.
  • Trip2: $25.00 pumped 7.1 gallons of 93 = added on top of the 1 gallon that was probably left, 232 miles w/no gas light.

Now trip 3 to the pump was $44.58/12.2 gallons topping off. I have 77 miles on the tank so far and the gas hand has still not moved from above the full hand yet. Today it will, I am sure. All of the mileage is in daily city/red light-to-red light driving. I am looking forward to the highway mileage.

Not bad for complete build: (minor spec list)

  • k24 block k20 head, skunk2 stage 3 cams, supertech 12.5:1 pistons
  • 07 si trans with Whoopee Doo Racing spec build (Mfactory 5.49 final drive)
  • Hondata Kpro with rc650cc injectors, stock fuel pump
  • 16″ wheels with 205/45/16 Tires

And, to make it a real adventure we decided not to take my 2010 Cobalt SS/TC or his record setting 2004 GTO down I-95, but rather take his 1994 Chevy Camaro Z/28 named “Benny” and have faith in the whining rear end and everyone’s favorite distributor… The Optispark!

Being my first ever time to watch a roundy-round race I wasn’t sure what to expect. But there are a few things i will say… Yes, the beer is expensive, yes the mullets are everywhere and yes this is an very American sport. Big tracks, big cars, big horsepower and big sound…

You cant really appreciate how freaking HUUUUUGE Daytona is until you’re in the stands and realize how far away the back strait is…

When we got there they were still having Practice for the cup cars so we got to see a few guys running in the low-mid 180mph range by themselves. I don’t even think the VDUB guys are this low when rolling yet!

But, Then the ARCA race was up. Sadly tho, Travis Pastrana was not in this race. These cars sound pretty good and are a good warm up to the big event

After the ARCA race the stands really started to fill up as the big dogs were about to come out… I couldn’t help but get a snap of the sky over the stands…

as much as we enjoyed the ARCA race, they arent the reason we went to Daytona
Micheal Waltrip clicked off a maximum speed of 206mph, even after the drop in restrictor plate size from tire testing, thanks to the new front bumper design and E15 fuel.

And to leave you with something to think about… Whether or not you LIKE NASCAR…

The Corvette sounds pretty nice, and the bike has to have a slip on or some mods. Then, you hear the radar detector! Not a good look guys!

The sound of this NSX just makes me go nuts! I saw this video floating around and had to also post it. This guy is pushing the hell out of this car, and it shows in every turn. Make sure to have your speakers cranked!

To give you more info on Tsukuba Circuit, for those of you who are not video game junkies like myself and Roadclown, it is a track located roughly 2.5 hours north of Tokyo and is what many believe to be the home of the Time Attack.

This sound is great! This shit needs to be my ring tone! The camera car, a 402 GTO, has a shot on it. The 240 is 6 liter bolt on/cam car. Enjoy!
