Russ Ethridge, who I went to the Bud Shootout in Daytona with in February, recently reminded me that his brother, Daniel AKA “BrothaDan”, had an ‘88 BMW… but, not just any BMW mind you. An E30 M3 that he had gone through and cleaned up and fixed. To have 100k+ miles on the car it looks freaking amazing. So I had Russ thieve the M3 and drop off “Bennytun” as a trade for the day. Since we here at Greasy are truly into every form of racing, I jumped at the chance when Russman offered a free ticket to the Bud Shootout in Daytona. And, to make it a real adventure we decided not to take my 2010 Cobalt SS/TC or his record setting 2004 GTO down I-95, but rather take his 1994 Chevy Camaro Z/28 named “Benny” and have faith in the whining rear end and everyone’s favorite distributor… The Optispark!
